Guy: This is one of our little ‘secret weapons’ to help with daily gut nourishing maintenance. It incorporates L-Glutamine which is an amino acid that has so many benefits for the body.
We all understand the benefits of a healthy gut right? With a few minor tweaks to your routine, you can be nurturing your digestive health and gut environment cheaply and effectively in no time at all!
It’s as easy as this:
- 1/2 a lemon
- 1/2 a teaspoon of 180 Nutrition Pure L-Glutamine
- 1 tablespoon of apple cider vinegar (we like Bragg Apple Cider Vinegar)
- Glass of water
Simply mix it all together and drink once a day on an empty stomach first thing in the morning, or 1/2 hour before meals. – Guy

Hi Guy, what does the L-Glutamine do? Thanks, Sarah
Hi Sarah, it has many uses… But we like it as it helps support and repair the small intestines of the gut, which we believe to be vital, as healthy gut integrity is pivotal for overall long-term health.
I’ve been taking this concoction for around 6 months & am sure it helps. Keep up the fantastic work, guys.
Sophie I swear by it 🙂
Hi I take Kefir in the mornings, will this concoction interfere or not?
Can’t see why not Yvonne…
Hi, I was doing this routine and loving it. Sometimes I took 1/2 tsp L-glutamine 2-3 times a day as suggested before meals. I came out in a hive type rash (not itchy at all) over my whole body. When I googled this is a possible serious side effect of L-Glutamine. I’m wondering if anyone else has had this problem as I love it and want to start taking it again. I’ve always had ACV so it’s not a reaction to that.
Hi Kim
Have you ever experienced or been diagnosed with asthma, hayfever, eczema, food allergies, anxiety or depression?
These can all be symptoms of leaky gut which may be (ironically) related to your reaction L-Glutamine.
If you’ve experienced three or more of the symptoms listed above then I would suggest working with a GP that is experienced with leaky gut. If they just throw pharmaceuticals at you, then I suggest you consider finding a different GP.

Hi Marisol, we’d advise discussing this with your health professional first to ensure it sits with your existing supplements / medications 🙂
