Yum looks like a great snack for my children also

Wendy says:

to make dairy free, what can I use instead of yoghurt?

Guy Lawrence says:

I would try adding more coconut cream instead…

Wendy says:

Just wanted to say I made this with all coconut cream and no yoghurt. I only had vanilla protein powder too. Anyway it turned out great! My daughter has a piece each morning with some double cream on the side. She says it keeps her satisfied till lunch. Thanks heaps. Can’t wait to try it with some chopped nuts mixed through!

Gen says:

What a great breakfast on the go option!
Would it still work if I used Coyo yoghurt instead of normal yoghurt? Thanks

Guy Lawrence says:

Yes it should be fine 🙂

Rhonda day says:

Banana and macadamia nut flavour, I left out the milk. It is delicious!

Val says:

Can you tell me how many carbs per slice. Need to know for my insulin pump.

Guy Lawrence says:

Hi Val. We recommend that you count the carbs of the ingredients as you make it. That way you can make it to your carbohydrate quantity liking. Cheers, Guy

Bell says:

I’m not much of a cook but what do you mean by the 3 x 50g of coconut? Is it dryed?

Guy Lawrence says:

Hi Bell… It’s 3 x 50g scoops of coconut 180 Natural Protein Superfood. Hope that helps, Guy

Sharyn says:

I made this slice yesterday. I used skim milk, not coconut cream, and added walnuts and dates. I was a bit concerned as it looked dry but it is in fact very yummy! I had some for brekky this morning with a small amount of plain greek yoghurt (it does need something with it) and it is quite filling. WIll definite make it again possibly trying different variations. Thanks!

Guy Lawrence says:

You’re welcome Sharyn… Glad you enjoyed 🙂

Michelle says:

Sharyn I’ve just finished making the slice and felt it might be a bit dry when I was spreading it out in the tin.

Thanks for the reassurance that you felt the same way, but it was still ok. I’m looking forward to seeing how it goes when I bring it out of the oven..

I thought this would be a nice slice to share with my workmates tonight when we take a break from nightfilling.

Mel says:

Does this freeze well?

alida says:

I failed! It’s as flat as a pancake and yes I used baking powder?
