Kale has a bit of a reputation out there as a superfood, and rightly so. This leafy vegetable protects against cancer, heart disease and infection. It’s high in fibre, Vitamin K, Calcium and is available all year round.
If you like to snack on the occasional chip or two why not give our homemade kale chips a whirl. In under 30 minutes you’ll have an alternative to the high street chips that are usually loaded with unhealthy fats.
Ingredients
- 2 bunches curly leaf kale
- 2 tablespoons of olive oil/coconut oil
- 1/2 teaspoon your favourite salt (we love himalayan rock salt)
Preparation
First up, tear a couple of sheets of baking paper in preparation for the leaves. Simply wash the leaves, dry thoroughly, tear the leaves from the stalk and place into a large bowl. Pour a couple of tablespoons of oil into the bowl and massage it into the leaves. Now sprinkle the salt evenly into the leaves.
Finally spread the leaves evenly out on the baking sheets and pop in the oven for 25 minutes at a temperature of 250 F. Just keep an eye on them as you don’t want them to burn, when ready simply remove to cool and enjoy your tasty homemade kale chips.

They look amazing. Any chance you can supple the macro breakdown for the recipes as they go up?
No worries Ben, I’ll raise it with the team.
Love these! We’ve been making them for years from our home grown organic kale. Such a healthy snack that our toddler loves. So simple too. We do similar with sweet potato which we all love.
