Author Bio - Dr Paul Saladino

This podcast features Dr Paul Saladino. He is passionate about understanding the root cause of chronic disease. In 1999, after graduating with honors from The College of William and Mary with a Bachelor of Science in Chemistry,he spent 6 years traveling and exploring the Western United States and New Zealand. He had advanced studies in 2005 at George Washington University where Ihe earned a Master of Health Science and Physician Assistant degree. For four years after this he practiced as a PA in cardiology, a field that he was drawn to with love of running and athletic endeavors. While practicing in cardiology, he truly began to see the value and importance of searching for the roots of disease, rather than simply ameliorating symptoms with medications. This motivated him to return to medical school to increase the depth of knowledge through the study of both integrative and functional medicine. In 2015, he obtained an MD from the University of Arizona. While there, he studied with physicians from the Center for Integrative Medicine, including Dr. Andrew Weil, New York Times bestselling author and a pioneer of the integrative medicine movement. In 2018, he completed my training through the Institute for Functional Medicine and am a certified functional medicine practitioner (IFMCP).
