The goodness of Coconuts and Coconut oil

Content by: Guy Lawrence

Coconuts offer multiple uses for the health conscious, and it’s something we include in our daily diet here at 180 Nutrition.

The natural coconut juice is high in potassium which is a essential mineral that protects the heart and other organs along with your muscles. The white flesh is full of benefits too including the natural fats. When the coconut flesh is grated, soaked and strained, the pulp makes a great healthy milk substitute alternative for those who have lactose intolerance and avoid milk.

When we make a 180 SuperFood smoothie, we use about 75ml of 100% natural coconut milk along with filtered water and berries. Delicious!

To eliminate vaginal and yeast or fungal infections and itching, the island natives make douches; bathe affected areas; or soak finger nails. Its antifungal properties contribute to healing. Traditionally, the sweet milk is used to increase semen production. The fresh juice is used as an eye drop to get rid of cataracts. After dropping, apply a squeezed warm wet cloth to the eye for ten minutes. Palm sugar, a healthy sugar substitute, is collected from the blossom of the palm tree and then air-dried into brown crystals.

If you want to include the health benefits of coconuts, why not try our 180 Natural Protein SuperFood.
