180 Nutrition: Our banana cream smoothie is a great post workout snack or meal. It literally takes two minutes to make and you can get as creative as you want. Depending on your workout goals, we recommend having bananas after your training, as they contain a little more sugar than other fruit. But bananas are packed full of nutrients so they certainly don’t want to be ignored (when to eat bananas… click here).
Another reason to create your own post workout smoothie is that you know exactly what ingredients you are putting in there. Many other post workout shakes contain unrecognisable ingredients & artificial sweeteners that can irritate the gut and trigger cravings which is less than ideal.
Our natural superfood protein blends are loaded with fibre, protein, and good fats without the sugar, preservatives, or synthetic processed ingredients that are found in some high street protein powders. We only use 100% natural ingredients.
- 1/2 cup water
- 1 cup natural yogurt
- 1 cup milk (we love coconut or almond)
- 5 ice cubes
- 2 scoops Superfood Protein Blend (coconut)
- half a banana
- 1/2 cup hazelnuts
Add ingredients to blender and blend until desired consistency.
We love hazelnuts. Why? They are full of good fats, protein, vitamin E, minerals, fibre and antioxidants.
